Coronation Celebrations May 2023
The whole school had a wonderful day to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III. The day started with a special Act of Worship, which looked at Kingship, the Sermon on the Mount and the symbolism in the Coronation ceremony that links back to our Biblical teaching. After this, the whole school went out on to our school field where we planted a beautiful Coronation tree. Ms Izard was helped by our eldest child and one of your youngest to place our special tree in its new home. During the morning, our lovely Nursery class held a special Coronation Tea Party. In the afternoon, in between torrential rain, thunder and lightning, the whole school enjoyed a carousel of fantastic activities including a whole school collage of King Charles, coronation biscuit decorating, rounders, helter-skelter, giant slide and ice lollies. Thank you to the Friends of Forty Hill for their support with the hiring of the inflatables and to the whole community who have contributed in many different ways to a very successful and happy day.
